12.1 Message to Canada
I am grateful to live in Canada as a lawful immigrant and citizen. I do not take this privilege for granted. Canada is a nation shaped by Indigenous foundations, Anglo and Francophone heritage, and decades of immigration from diverse backgrounds around the world. It is a place where many people are well-educated, where human rights are protected by law, and where I am free to practice my Christian Faith openly. I am thankful for the natural environment, the relative peace and safety, and the opportunities that so many Canadians are fortunate to experience.
Canadians, overall, are known for being polite, compassionate, and well-educated. There have been genuine efforts in this country toward reconciliation with Indigenous peoples and toward building a more just and inclusive society. The talent, community cohesion, and mutual care I have witnessed here are remarkable. I am also grateful that Canada does not currently have conscription and has historically held values that prioritize peace and diplomacy over war.
Like people everywhere, Canadians face real challenges. Housing affordability, the cost of living, and uncertainty about the future weigh on many. There is concern about stability, economic, social, and political, and what kind of country will be left for coming generations. These are not unique to Canada, but they are real and they matter.
I acknowledge these difficulties while still being thankful to call this country home. I pray for Canada's continued protection and for its people to draw closer to God. May this nation remain a place of peace, refuge, and moral clarity in a troubled world.
12.2 Message to the United States
I believe America is a powerful, and Faith-based nation, home to many of the greatest people in the world. Americans have contributed immensely to progress in research, science, advancement, empathy, compassion, and aid toward others, on a local and global scale. Americans are some of the kindest, most Faithful people I know. I want to express that I am sorry the United States is going through difficulties during this time, regarding leadership, tensions, and other challenges.
I hold no hatred toward the American people. I recognize that the United States is a nation of diverse individuals, many of whom are kind, curious, and Faithful. Americans are not a monolith either, the fifty states and their accompanying heritage, history, political beliefs, cultures, and values vary greatly.
My negative experiences with certain individuals do not reflect on my sentiments towards the nation as a whole, and I do not want my testimony to be misused to paint Americans with the same brush. I understand the complexities of America's role in the world and the genuine Faith of countless Americans who love God and seek to do good.
I must also be honest about my own feelings. I harbour some resentment toward certain Americans, toward some individuals in positions of power who are involved in what I have experienced. I feel genuine guilt over this resentment, which developed due to my surveillancing experiences, but my hope is that even these individuals, and the nation as a whole, can come to strong Faith, divine protection, deliverance, support, and love.
I pray for the American people, that they would be protected from corrupt influences, that truth would come to light, and that genuine Faith would prevail over hypocrisy and lies fed by mass media and certain fallible people in positions of power. May God bless Americans.
12.3 Message to China (Revised with Hosea Prophecy and Ethical Reflection)
My heritage is Chinese, and I love China very much.
China is one of the world's oldest nations, and one of the most populated nations, with a rich history and countless philosophical, artistic, scientific, and technological achievements. The Chinese people are some of the most intelligent, hardworking, kind-hearted, Faithful, and resilient people I have known. They have shown remarkable strength through immense difficulties and hardships in recent history, persevering with dignity and determination.
Today, despite prejudices that some people may harbour toward China and its people, the country continues to grow positively and contribute meaningfully to the world.
12.4 A Prophetic Reflection for Our Times
The prophet Hosea spoke to ancient Israel about their worship of Baal, the pursuit of worldly prosperity, fertility, and material abundance at the expense of their covenant with God. The Scriptures describe how the people "sinned by worshiping Baal" and became "full and satisfied, and then grew proud and forgot" the One who sustained them. They made "idols of silver, designed by human minds, made by human hands" , pursuing the gifts rather than the Giver.
While I do not claim to be a prophet, I see this as a warning relevant to all nations today, including the East and the West. The temptation to prioritize material progress, economic growth, and worldly success above ethical considerations, human dignity, and spiritual grounding is real for every modern society.
In the Book of Revelation, we read of the "kings of the east" (Revelation 16:12),a prophetic image that has been interpreted by some as pointing to the rising influence of Eastern powers in the last days. Whatever one's interpretation, I believe this serves as a reminder that China has a significant role to play on the world stage, and with that role comes responsibility.
My call to China, and to all nations, is this: Do not be influenced by defilement. Do not become too worldly, too materialistic, or too focused on progress that comes at the expense of ethics, morals, and the intrinsic value of human beings. Even in science and advancement, remember to value people with their full humanity, not as statistics or means to an end.
China is deeply diverse, home to 56 ethnic groups, each with its own unique history, culture, heritage, and language. It is a significant accomplishment that the country has maintained development, stability, and unity while honouring this diversity. In recent decades, China has lifted millions out of poverty and worked to provide better lives for its citizens. The progress in infrastructure, technology, and quality of life reflects the hard work and vision of generations of Chinese people. As one analysis notes, Chinese modernization is inherently "people-centered," aiming to "better ensure that the benefits of modernization are more fairly shared by all".
Yet like people everywhere, the Chinese people face real challenges. Rapid development has transformed much of traditional culture, including Confucianism and filial piety. Today's younger generation faces difficulties finding economic opportunities, job stability, and partners, along with uncertainties about the future. I have deep compassion for the Chinese people during these transitions.
12.5 A Reminder of Our Shared Humanity
I understand that many of us, myself included, have been socialized in systems that sometimes view people as statistics, data points, or means to an end. This is a challenge of our modern age, not unique to any one country. But I urge all who read this: do not forsake or forget your own humanity and value as a human being, and treat others with the same humanity and intrinsic worth.
I pray that more people in China can find peace, purpose, and Faith. I pray they remain open to God and the Bible, to believe in Jesus Christ, and to explore salvation and answers for the world. Faith can bring comfort, guidance, and hope amidst life's uncertainties.
I give my utmost blessings and prayers of peace, divine protection, and goodness toward China, to every Chinese person, to those in positions of governance and protection, and to the future of this great nation. May China continue to flourish, may its people be blessed with joy and purpose, and may the nation walk with wisdom, humility, and compassion on the world stage. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
12.6 Message to All Nations and Biblical Prophecy
All nations are valuable, and I pray that all nations remember that they are accountable to God. I pray that our leaders around the world seek wisdom, humility, goodness and justice. And may people everywhere turn from wickedness, repent of their sins, and draw closer to Jesus Christ.
