Appendix H: Visual Observations of Individuals Projected During Surveillance

On occasions when I have been particularly distressed, or during vulnerable states like sleeping, some individuals behind this surveillance have projected images of themselves into my mental imagery space. I recall that they have implied that they would appear more readily when I am less mentally stable, or thinking negatively, or behaving sinfully.

Important Disclaimer: Before providing these descriptions, I want to emphasize that many people share these general characteristics. The descriptions below are not meant to stereotype, nor are they intended to be malicious or racist. They are not meant to suggest that anyone who fits these descriptions is involved. Rather, I am noting patterns I have observed specifically in the individuals who project themselves to me, patterns that include certain collective expressions and mannerisms when they look at me.

General Observations

The individuals I have seen are predominantly white, though this may simply reflect the demographics of the networks they come from. They have different appearances, some associated with geekiness, athletic, or corporate, ranging from older to younger individuals, who look like they might blend into university campuses or business districts.

Some are tall, some medium built, and some are slightly short, and many share certain facial expressions when perceiving me: a particular expression that I can only describe as a mocking sneer or a cold, assessing look when they regard me. Some have reddish complexions, and a noticeable number have red hair, others brunette or blonde.

Clothing and Equipment

  • Older individuals: some appear in attire typical of academia or business, like sport coats, shell jackets, suits, glasses, khakis, polos, or button-down shirts. These days, some of them look more casual to blend in, wearing basic shorts and t-shirts and baseball caps. Some wear glasses (sunglasses and normal glasses) and some do not.
  • Younger individuals: frequently appear in casual clothing like t-shirts, shorts or khakis, shell jackets or sleek, modern outerwear, along with sunglasses and baseball hats. Sometimes they are carrying large backpacks, rolling a compact suitcase, or carrying box-like devices on their backs (which I assume may be related to their surveillance equipment).

Geographic Context

Based on their own statements and the contexts in which they have appeared, these individuals appear connected to the northeastern United States, particularly New York, New England, and Boston, as well as to locations in California where research facilities are concentrated.

I have occasionally seen individuals in public spaces who bear a resemblance to some of these projected images, though I cannot confirm whether these were the same people or coincidental similarities. The projected images themselves provide the primary basis for these descriptions.

I include these observations in the hope they may provide useful leads for investigators who may have broader context or additional information that could give these descriptions meaning.
